MUSIC PARTY!                      

Ages 3 & 4 years   

Throw a new party every day. Developmentally appropriate songs and rhymes to develop active listening and expressive speech

§       Learning that emphasizes vocabulary, phonemic awareness and patterns

§       Activities that promote creativity, expression, and physical coordination

§       Experiencing basic music notation, composers, music vocabulary and musical concepts 

§       Learning and trying instruments of the orchestra.

§       Exciting activities that explore very basic keyboard/piano instrument.

§       All this through movement and music and singing!

§   45 minute class once a week for 15 weeks -30 minutes with a flexible unparented section, followed by a family sharing time.

 Music For Little Mozarts    

Ages 4.5-7 years

Join Beethoven Bear, Mozart Mouse & friends in their adventures on the piano. Written to provide appropriate piano instruction for 4-7 year olds, this series is a comprehensive approach to musical learning that develops singing and listening skills simultaneously with an appreciation for a variety of musical styles. The materials in the course combine to create and exciting and imaginative atmosphere both in the lesson and at home. This is what a parent wants in a pre-piano class. Fun & active, it is sure delight your youngster! (4-7 years) 45minutes for 15 weeks (mostly unparented) but if you need to come in, then feel welcomed at anytime.

Recent studies suggest that playing and listening to music at a young age improves learning, memory, reasoning ability, and general creativity. Research also supports the theory that young children who are exposed to music develop enhanced cognitive skills. Music teachers are aware that influences of music go far beyond the intellectual and physical development of the child. Studying music contributes to the growth of a well-balanced child in sensitivity, expressiveness, and the spirit essential for functioning in a complicated world.

Each lesson will include a variety of activities chosen from keyboard performance, singing, music appreciation, coloring, movement, listening, rhythm, and use of the magnetic/dry-erase board. The activities that occur in the lesson are structured to take into consideration the young child's small hands and limited attention span. Come join us now!
